Pullman Kuching Welcomes a New Chapter of Modern Hospitality as Guests Check in Where Kuching Rises

PULLMAN Kuching enters a new era following a comprehensive renovation that ushers in refreshed design, renewed purpose, and an elevated guest experience atop the city’s iconic hilltop. Celebrating the vibrant spirit of Sarawak, the hotel draws inspiration from the beauty of Borneo and the warmth of its people, inviting guests to check in where Kuching rises.

Interhill Hospitality, the hospitality arm of Interhill Group and owner-operator of three Accor-branded properties, Pullman Kuching, Pullman Miri Waterfront, and the four-star Ibis Melaka within the UNESCO World Heritage Site, marks this transformation as a new chapter for the brand.

“Pullman Kuching has always been a place where journeys come together, from business travellers and event planners to leisure guests and couples celebrating life’s biggest moments,” said Sunardi Song, General Manager of Pullman Kuching.

“Our transformation captures the Sarawakian way of connection, where every moment shared adds to the city’s spirit and every stay feels like coming home.”

From a sunlit lobby to an elegant grand ballroom and versatile meeting rooms, each redesigned space at Pullman Kuching aims to bring people together harmoniously.

The revitalised lobby is inspired by Sarawak’s lush forests, featuring layered textures, woven patterns, and warm lighting that echo the rhythm of nature. Its glass ceiling amplifies openness—flooded with daylight by morning and gently illuminated at night—turning the area into a grand sanctuary that transforms with the changing sky.

At the heart of celebrations, the grand ballroom stands bathed in sculptural elegance and soft, golden light. Its design reflects the dramatic limestone peaks of Gunung Mulu, creating an ambience both majestic and intimate. Suitable for global conferences, milestone events, and weddings, the ballroom accommodates up to 1,500 guests for banquets or 2,000 in theatre seating. It can also be divided into two flexible spaces measuring 983 and 631 square metres.

Dynamic meeting rooms, ranging from 65 to 1,615 square metres, integrate modern functionality with Sarawakian craftsmanship. Designed to inspire meaningful encounters, these spaces cater to executive discussions, creative sessions, and intimate events that bring people and ideas together.

As Kuching continues its rise as a destination for travellers, creators, and newlyweds, Pullman Kuching remains at the forefront of that growth. Its renewed journey is one of warmth, creativity, and limitless possibilities—welcoming every guest to experience where Kuching rises.
